DESCRIPTION:Got a squeaky brake you don’t know how to fix? Learn how to fix an issue with your bike with a 30 minute workshop with a qualified mechanic.\n\n\nWhat \nGot a squeaky brake you’re not sure how to fix? Or a broken chain? Dodgy gears? Or maybe just a puncture you’re not sure how to tackle…. \nBook your slot and pop down with your bike during our ‘Fix and Learn’ workshops\, where we’ll show you how to identify and fix the issue. All equipment is provided and no experience is necessary! \nYou will join us for a half hour 1:1 session where a Drosi mechanic will work with you to fix a specific issue with your bike\, if we can’t fix it in the half hour and it’s a bigger job than you thought we will be happy to advise on the ‘what next’. \n \nWho \nThe session is open for anyone aged 8+  (under 14’s require a supervising adult). You don’t need any prior knowledge of bike maintenance to attend. \n \nCost \nThis programme is completely FREE to attend. We are very grateful to The National Lottery who fully fund this programme. (If any parts second hand or new are needed there will be an additional cost for these) \n \nWhen \nRunning monthly – check out our page for other dates and times available. \nWe tend to try and keep the after school slots for young people\,  however\, if you are working please feel free to book a time you can attend.

DESCRIPTION:an intro into bike maintenance; you’ll work to understand key components of your bike and how to safety check and maintain them\n\n\nDesigned for complete beginners and those with rusty knowledge. \nCourse Content: \n\nSafety checking\nRemoving wheels and fixing punctures\nErgonomics (setting up your bike to fit you)\nBike repair tools and lubricants (what you need to keep your bike in top condition)\nCleaning and lubricating\n\n\nFree tea\, coffee and biscuits!\n\nAll tools are provided but trainees are encouraged to bring their own bikes to work on. \nPLEASE NOTE: We require a minimum of 2 people to run these workshops. If we are unable to reach our minimum number we will sadly have to cancel. In which case you will be fully refunded and we will do our best to reschedule and get you booked on to any future workshops. \n  \nTHE DROSI WAY \nDrosi Bikes’ sole purpose is to address the lack of diversity in the cycling community and to offer accessible solutions to climate change\, reducing the overall number of car journeys made and creating communities that are safer\, more cohesive and full of healthy\, happy individuals. \nOh! DESCRIPTION:Building up your bike maintenance skills\, you’ll work to gain a detailed appreciation of brakes and gears\n\n\nDesigned for people with basic bike maintenance experience and those with rusty knowledge. \nCourse Content \n\nChanging brake pads\nAdjusting cable brake systems (this does not include hydraulic brakes)\nAdjusting gears\nReplacing brake and gear cables\n\n\nFree tea and coffee (and we won’t forget the biscuits!)\n\n  \nAll tools are provided but trainees are encouraged to bring their own bikes to work on. \n  \nPLEASE NOTE: We require a minimum of 2 people to run these workshops.
