SUMMARY:Women+ DIY Workshop - Trailside Repairs
DESCRIPTION:Stuck mid-ride? Learn to fix it yourself! A friendly\, hands-on workshop for women+ covering key road/trail-side bike repairs.\n\n\nThe DIY workshop provides access to cycling equipment\, tools and non-judgemental advice to inform and empower women and girls to cycle. \nWhether you’re on the trails\, the road\, or the cycle path to work — things can (and do!) go wrong. This friendly women+ practical session will give you the confidence to deal with the most common mid-ride mechanicals so you can keep rolling and avoid being stranded. \n \nWhat You’ll Learn\nThis workshop focuses on Trailside Repairs\, covering the essential skills and tools to help you handle issues on the go\, including: \n\nHow to perform a pre-ride safety check (the M-Check)\nHow to fix a puncture (with tubes and basic tubeless advice)\nWhat to do if your chain drops or breaks\nQuick fixes for brake rub\, gear problems\, and buckled wheels\nWhat to carry in your trailside toolkit\nImprovised fixes to get you home safely\n\nWho It’s For\nThis session is designed for all types of riders – whether you ride MTB\, gravel\, road\, or commuting bikes. No previous mechanical knowledge is needed\, and you won’t be expected to take your bike apart! \n \nFormat\nYou’ll learn through: \n\nLive demonstrations\nGroup discussion\nQ&A opportunities throughout\n\nThere’s no pressure to get hands-on\, but there will be plenty of chances to ask questions and see techniques up close. \nAt any point during the session you are welcome to use our tools and fix your bike\, or join in for the whole session. We can always learn from past experiences – our own or others! \nTea/Coffee and biscuits provided (Please let us know in advance if you have a specific dietry requirement and we will do our best to provide some yummy biscuits!!!) \n\n\nWomen+ includes anyone identifying as female\, trans or non-binary \nUnder 18’s to be accompanied by parent/guardian please.

SUMMARY:Fix & Learn Cycle Maintenance - November
DESCRIPTION:Got a squeaky brake you don’t know how to fix? Learn how to fix an issue with your bike with a 30 minute workshop with a qualified mechanic.\n\n\nWhat \nGot a squeaky brake you’re not sure how to fix? Or a broken chain? Dodgy gears? Or maybe just a puncture you’re not sure how to tackle…. \nBook your slot and pop down with your bike during our ‘Fix and Learn’ workshops\, where we’ll show you how to identify and fix the issue. All equipment is provided and no experience is necessary! \nYou will join us for a half hour 1:1 session where a Drosi mechanic will work with you to fix a specific issue with your bike\, if we can’t fix it in the half hour and it’s a bigger job than you thought we will be happy to advise on the ‘what next’. \n \nWho \nThe session is open for anyone aged 8+  (under 14’s require a supervising adult). You don’t need any prior knowledge of bike maintenance to attend. \n \nCost \nThis programme is completely FREE to attend. We are very grateful to The National Lottery who fully fund this programme. (If any parts second hand or new are needed there will be an additional cost for these) \n \nWhen \nRunning monthly – check out our page for other dates and times available. \nWe tend to try and keep the after school slots for young people\,  however\, if you are working please feel free to book a time you can attend.
